Guerrilla Marketing and Social. The Killer Combination?

Guerrilla marketing is a great alternative to traditional marketing. It thrives on original thinking and creativity, where imagination and ingenuity beat big budgets.
It involves people like you and I brazenly walking in to events with our own pull-up banners and handing out leaflets or placing stickers in busy train stations.
It makes us do things we don’t want to do to get the coverage that we usually can’t afford.
Four pieces of content a day. Yes you can
But what happens if you were able to meld social selling and guerrilla marketing into one. What happens if you were to try social-guerrilla-marketing. Well now you can.
We use Passle. We encourage our clients to use Passle. Passle is great. Passle is a tool which helps you find articles and then re-purpose them into your own blog.
We certainly aren’t suggesting that Passle removes the need for you to write original content, because it doesn’t. But we do believe that it can help you get over the initial nerves of blogging.
We use it to add scale and volume to our blogging. One blog per day plus three Passles, and you have created four pieces of content. If one blog takes you 20 minutes to write, three Passles take you a minute each.
It’s worth saying at this point that we don’t get paid by Passle. We don’t have a reseller agreement with them. Nor shares in the company. But we do see a product which genuinely helps organisations engage with blogging even if they’re already pretty good at it like us.
So why is this guerrilla marketing?
There is a feature called ISTATOY (I Saw This and Thought Of You) which means that you can share a piece of content, with your comment, in a personalised way to a contact you may be trying to sell to.
And this is probably a great metaphor for guerrilla marketing. You can come in under the radar, catch someone’s eye and do so in such a way that it looks like you have invested a great deal more time in the person than you actually have.
So, is Passle the tool for guerrilla marketing? We think it probably is!
